ASO competitor analysis studies rival apps’ keywords, creatives, and ratings to find opportunities and benchmark your own listing.

ASO competitor analysis is the systematic study of the apps you compete with for visibility — not just obvious rivals, but any app ranking for your target keywords. It reveals which terms competitors own, how they position their creatives, what their ratings and review themes are, and where gaps exist.

Done regularly, it informs your keyword targeting (find terms competitors rank for that you don’t), your creative strategy (spot conventions to match and clichés to break), and your roadmap (recurring complaints in their reviews are your feature opportunities).
