In-App Rating Prompt

A rating prompt is the native dialog that asks users to rate your app; timing it well is one of the cheapest ways to raise your score.

A rating prompt is the system-provided dialog (via Apple’s SKStoreReviewController or Google’s In-App Review API) that asks a user to rate your app without leaving it. Because it’s native, it converts far better than sending users to the store manually.

The key is timing: trigger the prompt right after a positive moment — completing a workout, winning a level, finishing a successful task — when satisfaction is highest. Prompting at a frustrating moment, or too early, invites low scores.

Both platforms cap how often the prompt can appear, so each impression is precious; show it to users you have good reason to believe are happy.
