Click-Through Rate (CTR)
Click-through rate is the share of people who click your listing after seeing it — in app stores, closely related to tap-through rate.
Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of viewers who click on your app or listing after seeing it. In an app store context it is essentially the tap-through rate from an impression to your product page; in web search and ad contexts, the click from a result to your destination.
CTR isolates the appeal of what’s visible before the click — the icon, title, and any preview snippet. A strong CTR means your first impression resonates with searchers; a weak one means you’re being seen but not chosen.
Because stores and search engines treat clicks as a relevance vote, improving CTR often improves ranking as well as raw traffic.
