Search Relevance
Search relevance is how closely the store judges your app to match a query, the gate that decides which terms you can rank for.
Search relevance is the store’s assessment of how well your app matches a given search query. It is determined chiefly by your metadata — whether the query’s terms are indexed to your app and how prominently (a title match counts more than a keyword-field match).
Relevance is the gate before competition: you can only rank for terms the algorithm considers relevant to you, and you rank highest for the terms where your relevance is strongest and your authority signals back it up.
Improving relevance means aligning your metadata tightly with the language your target users actually search, then letting conversion and velocity lift you within that relevant set.
